Our Story
ββIn April 2018, 61 international students from Nepal faced a difficult road ahead after their full-ride scholarships to an American university were unexpectedly revoked. Most universities in the United States had already finalized their scholarships and application deadlines for the upcoming school year, so these students had very limited options.
Spearheaded by an international school counselor and an EdUSA advisor, a group of eight counselors (The Nepal Justice League) came together from around the world to help the impacted students from Nepal.
Then, informed by his own experience of what it's like to need financial help as a student abroad, Satish Mirle, stepped up to create the nonprofit organization, Everest Education Fund. Funds were raised by The Nepal Justice League for distribution through the Everest Education Fund, to support a few students who were in need of bridging financial gaps. We are proud to say that, with the support of the Nepal Justice League and EEF, the impacted students from Nepal were able to find new homes and bridge their financial gaps. As of July 2022, all of them have graduated and started their dream careers.
Now, the Everest Education Fund exists to unlock the potential of young students globally.
